Hi there! My name is Julia Bananto and I am the founder of Jlife by Jules.
I am a lifestyle coach specializing in health, fitness, nutrition, and feeling BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT.
I’m 25 years old and I have been on my Journey to a LIVE a healthy lifestyle since I was 14 years old. I have a strong and driving desire to share my story with you about my journey on the road to good Health, fitness, nutrition, and beauty because I believe it will inspire you to reach your goal of a full and Healthy Life.
I have always been passionate about good health and I know that JLife by Jules is the prefect way to share with you my tips, tricks, and motivation about these very important aspects of life.
As a dancer and cheerleader growing up I have always been active and realized the importance of healthy living at a young age. I also learned that goals and dreams are achieved through hard work. I created this site to give people inspiration in the focused areas of health, nutrition, fitness, and beauty. And to help people overcome the barriers and challenges that can be associated with getting healthy, loosing and or maintaining weight, learning to love yourself and staying motivated. Overall, I want to inspire you on your Journey of whatever your goals may be and help you live your life to the fullest.
I'm proud that I worked out hard and was healthy at a young age. When I was 13 years old I got my first gym pass and started working out in a gym environment. I also started researching nutrition and workout advice online and through magazines in my free time. I became very intrigued with everything that had to do with living a healthy lifestyle. I have come a long way in my health and fitness journey but, I am still working towards my fitness goals of ultimately being as fit as many of my fitness idols.
During my later years of high school and early years of college I was dealing with a lot of stomach issues. My weight cycled up and down and this was frustrating because my BIGGEST desire was to be in tip-top shape and healthy. I was still active and eating healthy, but was very bloated and not wanting to be at the weight I wanted. Feeling sick and overweight, lead me to have body image issues, which developed me into having an eating disorder. I battled with this for about 2-3 years, it was a rough time. I was so hard on myself, I hated my body, and I felt sick all the time. That's when I said enough is enough, and I need to make a serious change. And I did.
I decided to get help in both areas, my stomach issues and seek nutritional and therapy counseling for the eating disorder I was dealing with. After every stomach and health test in the book, I got my blood tested under a microscope, this is called blood microscopy, and this doctor was my miracle worker. He found I was unable to digest proteins properly because my body was lacking enzymes that help digest and absorb proteins, this was causing bacteria to be built up in my stomach and causing stomach pains. I got on plant enzymes which help digest proteins and probiotics to replace the bad bacteria in my stomach with good.
Once I got healthy in these two areas I was slowly able to change my lifestyle. During the time span of 2013-2014, I lost 30 lbs. I'm five feet, so that makes a pretty BIG difference. Once I lost my first 5 lbs. I became determined to keep getting the weight off that I wanted. I knew I had to stay focused so I set my goals by writing them down, which is an important step. **RULE OF THUMB OR FORMULA FOR LOOSING WEIGHT OR MAINTAINING WEIGHT** 90% - all clean and healthy foods
10% - a little sweet cheat treat
= perfect balance of flexible dieting

This formula has been the key consistency in my lifestyle of eating. It has helped me be able to enjoy delicious foods in life while also staying healthy and in reach of my goals. The 90% part means healthy eating (consisting of high protein, fiber, fruits, veggies, and complex carbs). While the 10% lets you have room for simple carbs or other foods that aren’t necessarily healthy. Loosing 30 lbs. was not only about my consistent lifestyle diet but about performing workouts that would give me the best results. I have created workout plans that will help you torch the calories and feel good!!! HIIT training (high interval intensity training) is what I did a lot of to loose weight and I still do weekly. These workouts get your heart rate up and also boost your metabolism, so throughout the day you will be burning more calories then normal.
Today, I am still keeping my 90%, 10% rule of thumb for my eating habits and I workout hard. As you travel through my site I hope you join my journey of " A LIFESTYLE LIVED WELL".
